WindmillsBefore starting any powermove, it's important to learn how to windmill. Whether you want to aim for airflares or 1990's, learning a windmill is important for technique and strategy. Make sure you've mastered the handglide (and turtle freeze) before attempting this move.

FlaresAs stated before, learning windmills are essential to learning every powermove. The flare is no different: If you analyze a flare's motion, you'll notice that it's practically a windmill with arm support. This video shows you a different, unique way of doing the flare.

Airflares/AirtracksAirtracks are (pretty much) flares or windmills with a greater distance between your body and the ground. Mastering flares and windmills are recommended before trying airflares, since the concepts are very much similar.

Crickets/JackhammersCrickets are essential to learning how to jackhammer. Make sure you've mastered the hand glide before you learn how to either cricket or jackhammer. Think of this motion as shooting a basketball: Your dominant hand supports the ball while you throw it while your non-dominant hand is there to guide it. In other words, a jackhammer is a cricket without the guidance.

|
Turtles/DarkhammersTurtle freezes are important to learning how to dark hammer. Before practicing, make sure you've mastered how to do the turtle freeze with both your left hand and your right hand. This may take some time as learning freezes on the opposite hand might be causing a strain - but patience is its own reward!

1990's1990's require technique and a lot of practice. Warning: practicing this move continuously will build a callus on the bottom palm of your dominant hand. It's not necessarily a bad thing - it just allows your hand to be smoother to allow a quicker and better motion.

|
2000'sAlthough similar, 2000's are actually much different than 1990's. Both start off in the same way, but it requires a different kind of technique that your body needs to get used to! Practice hard and go slow! Learn and analyze the steps and techniques before diving in!

HeadspinsBefore learning the headspin, make sure you have a strong foundation of the headstand. Learning headspins is not necessarily needed to learn halos (as both of them differ), but it is needed to do double halos and many headstand transitions
